The Parkland/Spanaway Kiwanis Club has been fundraising with tickets to a Cruise Around Vashon Island. The ship, My Girl, will depart from 1125 Dock Street on Sunday, September 9^th at 1:30 p.m. and return to Tacoma around 4:30 p.m. Suggested donations for the cruise is $55 for a single, $100 for couples and $25 for children 5 to 12 years old. The Club meets at the Paradise Bowl restaurant on Thursdays at noon.  In addition to all their projects they sponsor many scholarships for local high school seniors in two school districts, 7 Key Clubs, a K-Kids, a Builders Club and CKI at PLU. They also have the PSK Foundation that is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
