The life and legacy of J.P. Patches (played for more than 50 years by Chris Wedes) will be remembered at a memorial on Saturday September 8th in McCaw Hall at Seattle Center.

Wedes passed away July 22 after a long battle with myeloma, a form of blood cancer.
Chris Wedes good friend, Pat Cashman, will lead “A Celebration of J.P. Patches” and will be joined onstage by family members and other notable Patches Pals for a fond look at what Chris and J.P. Patches will always mean to Seattle and the Pacific Northwest.
“A Celebration of J.P. Patches” will be free and open to the public. Seating is first-come, first-served.
In lieu of flowers, a suggested donation of $5 can be made at the door. All proceeds will go to the Seattle Children’s Hospital, the favorite charity of J.P. and his family.
