Classic Car show a hit in spite of weather

The weather Saturday morning started out with a little rain, the first we’ve had in a couple months. But the weather didn’t stop hundreds of classic car enthusiasts from heading out to Sprinker Recreation Center. Cars from the 1920’s to the 1980’s were there in fine form, glinting in the sunshine by the afternoon.

Vendors and sponsors had tents to entertain a thousand visitors. The parking lot outside the gate was full of visitor’s cars as was the infield with the shiny classics. Trucks, motorcycles and even a motorized Radio Flyer were part of the show.

Kyle Wintermute and Becca Boyle from the recreation center worked as announcers and gave out awards. There were 45 awards to be distributed. At the end, the Best of Show award went to Paulette Egbert for her 1941 Graham Hollywood.
