Nisqually Land Trust to plant trees near Ashford October 13

On Saturday, October 13th, from 10am to 1pm, the Nisqually Land Trust will plant trees near Ashford, in the foothills of Mt. Rainier.

They will help restore an area near beautiful Ashford, WA, planting various native tree species on land that was previously used for dumping. The Land Trust hopes to prevent future dumping, the spread of invasive plants, and to restore the land to its original beauty.  An RSVP is required for directions. Coffee, water, and some light snacks will be provided; volunteer should bring a water bottle and anything else they might need. Work parties are rain or shine.  Bring layers, rain gear, and close-toed shoes that you don’t

mind getting dirty. Minors MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
