Nov. 3-4 will be busy days on 168th East Street in Spanaway. The annual Spanaway Lake High School Holiday Craft Fair is set for over 180 vendors and thousands of visitors. The parking is always tight and 168th Street maybe tough to commute through if you are local. However, this is one of the best local events of the year of you like hand-made crafts and unique holiday gifts.
The cost to enter this year is $3 for an adult and children under 6 are free. Inside you will find wood carvers, jewelry, blankets and quilts, ornaments, food, candies, stamps, furniture, candles, soaps and all manner of other great things. The entire school will be full from the new commons to the gym and the hallways. You will certainly be delighted by what you see, even if you visit just for the ideas and visual ambiance.
The event is open on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The address is 1305 168th St. E., Spanaway. From southbound Pacific Avenue (SR7) it’s a left turn at the Spanaway Post office corner, 168th Street and about ¾ mile east from there.
