The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department is hoping the public can help identify those responsible for two vandalisms at Cedarcrest Middle School in Spanaway. Three children were caught on surveillance cameras twice – Oct. 14 and Sunday, Oct. 28, both times around 3 p.m.
The vandals rode bicycles onto school grounds and used sticks to bust out windows on several portable classrooms. All three vandals appear to be boys.
Two of the boys appear to be 12 or 13, 5-feet-5 and 110-140 pounds. The third boy is 8 or 9, about 4-feet tall and 70 pounds. All three of them wore dark hooded sweatshirts and rode black BMX-style bikes.
Anyone with information is asked to call Tacoma-Pierce County Crimestoppers at 253-591-5959. A possible $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and charges filed for the person responsible in this case. All callers remain anonymous.
