This year when you attend the Spanaway Lake Holiday Craft Fair, your entrance fee goes to help support the school’s Associated Student Body (ASB). Once you are inside, you will notice students with signs taped to their backs and walking around trying to sell you pizza, cinnamon rolls or other delectables.
These students are in a friendly competition for your food dollars. Each class or group involved makes money for their specific group this way. The freshmen are selling pizza. This is the first year for freshman at the high school, last year 9th grade was at the Junior High. Two I sat with at my table were happy to be in high school, although a little intimidated the first couple days. They explained each class had different food products as you can see from the photos of the electronic menu boards. The cheerleaders and the American Sign Language class were also competing for your food dollars.
In a couple days, we will update this article with the results of how they did.
