FRANKLIN PIERCE SCHOOL DISTRICT – Congratulations to teams and student athletes for a strong fall season!
Girls Golf
FPHS: Team placed 5th in league. Stormy Follen finished fourth in the District Golf Tournament, earning an automatic berth in the State Tournament this spring.
WHS: Team placed 7th in league. Francesca Pratt placed 11th in district and qualified to golf in the spring tournament for a berth to state.
Boys Golf
WHS: Team placed 7th in league. Marshaun Williams placed 10th in district and qualified to golf in the spring tournament for a berth to state.
FPHS: Team placed 3rd in league. Nick Frazier and Ryan Sandoval had strong District Tournaments to qualify for the District 3 Spring Tournament and a chance to go to State.
Boys Tennis
WHS: SPSL 2A League Champions, SPSL 2A League Tournament Champions, Daniel Yu – SPSL 2A League MVP, Jonathan Yu – 2A SPSL League Tournament SINGLES Champion (qualified for State), Daniel Yu & Josh Rasmus – 2A SPSL League Tournament DOUBLES Champions (qualified for State).
Girls Soccer
FPHS: The girls soccer team finished the season on a 6 and 2 to finish 3rd in league.
Girls Cross Country
FPHS: Girls cross country won the dual meet championship, finishing the league undefeated. They finished fourth in the Sub-District led by individual champion Julia Johnson and third place finisher Patryce McWilliams who both also qualified for State at the West Side Classic. Patryce finished 20th in the State Meet.
Boys Cross Country
WHS: Kegan Mulholland competed at the state meet in Pasco
FPHS: Boys Cross Country finished in a three-way tie for dual meet championship and took fourth at Sub-Districts. They were led by second place finisher and Male Cross Country Student Athlete of the Year Nehemiah Barrett. They qualified as a team for State at the West Side Classic Meet. Nehemiah hit the podium with a 13th place finish.
Football
WHS: Competed in post-season (placed third in league), won the helmet bowl.
Girls Swim
WHS: Lilly Kurzhal qualified for state in the 50 m freestyle and 100 m butterfly (placed 14th in the finals for butterfly).
Volleyball
WHS: Placed second in WCD III tournament, competed at state. Tasi Peredo (player) and Paul Souza (coach) were named to the TNT’s all-area team. Tasi was also named co-MVP of the SPSL and Paul was named SPSL Coach of the year.
