Spanaway Community Association starts petition for Bethel aquatic center

The Spanaway Community Association has started a petition on Change.org for people who like the idea of the Bethel District building an aquatic center in the area. The petition can be found at this link.

http://www.change.org/petitions/bethel-school-directors-build-the-aquatic-center

Here’s their statement: ” Sign the petition to tell the school board to build the aquatic center! They have the money in the construction fund because of savings on other projects with the recent economy. This will boost Bethel’s economy and bring more revenue to the district.”

Feel free to follow the link if you are also supportive of Bethel building a pool (and or more) for the school and community.

Here is the text of the petition:

To:  Bethel School Directors

We, the undersigned believe the Bethel Aquatic Center will provide useful water safety programs, additional sports related activities and competitions for the schools and community. It will also create a positive business environment that will bring additional capital improvements, generate more business and increase tax flow in our local area. It will also attract those interested in aquatic sports to come to our area, helping increase our home values. We believe this is a win-win situation for our district. Since the 2006 Bond provided more than enough funds to build the proposed buildings and there remains constructions fund sufficient to pursue the Aquatic Center, we believe this is the right time to see it to fruition.

Sincerely,
[Your name]
