Candlelight vigil Feb. 9 for Chris Virdell

It has been almost an entire year with no word on the fate of 18 year old Bethel graduate Chris Videll.ChrisVirdell

On the anniversary of his disappearance, friends and family will gather at the site of the bus stop where he was last seen, at 45th Avenue and 224th Street. From 5 to 7 p.m. They will tell remembrances, sing, pray and comfort each other along with Chris’ parents, Melanie and Paul.

Videll disappeared after visiting friends in the morning of February 9, 2012. He was last seen waiting for the Pierce Transit 402 bus to take him to his job at the South Hill Safeway. He was wearing a bright orange coat with black pants, shirt and shoes. Little else is known about what happened.

Anyone with information on the circumstances of Virdell’s disappearance should call Crime Stoppers. There is a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible. All callers will remain anonymous. The number for Crime Stoppers is 253-591-5959.
