Distance covered during activities will be logged with the brigade’s Walk to Afghanistan initiative, ‘Raider Run ~ JBLM to Afghanistan’.

The Walk to Afghanistan program is a common tradition among Army units and is designed for family members near and far. The intent of the program is to build esprit de corps among the families and friends who support the unit and show visible support for Soldiers downrange, to honor them and let them know they’re in the thoughts of their loved ones.

4-2 SBCT is currently deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
