Volunteers needed for FP Princess Bowl March 1

Shannon Phillips, a parent volunteer in charge of tomorrow’s Princess Bowl fundraiser, emailed a call to action yesterday:      <sic>

Hi all,
I am having quite a time finding volunteers for this year’s Princess Bowl. I will attribute that to the fact that it is a popular event and everyone wants to watch instead of help. Hahaha!!! The following is a list of areas in which I need help:
Security: 2 people at each entrance gate onto the field – suggestion to those that volunteer; wear a raincoat and get sideline view of the game! Choose your partner wisely. You may want to snuggle by the end of the game.
Security: 2 people to man the pass gate – a hood would also be recommended for this position. 2 needed just so boredom does not kick in. Great view of the game from this vantage point, tho! Snuggling may also be necessary in this area.
Concessions: Still in need of about 6 volunteers – a warm, busy, cozy place to be with absolutely no view of the game. Not a volunteer opportunity for football fans. Fun opportunity to see and visit with the students and community members, though.
Score keeper: Someone to sit in the announcers’ booth and keep score while Mr. Ross does his announcing thing. Bonus ~ Bird’s eye view of the game.

Please pass this email along to your respective staffs. I appreciate the effort to help me find volunteers!

For best response, have all volunteers contact me at bethoughtful@comcast.net or on my cell phone 253-370-3907. THANKS!

THIS JUST IN!!! Exciting news!!! Our princesses have invited princesses from outlying schools! TEN of them will be joining us for the game. Each girl will be wearing a football jersey from her school and her princess crown. This has just made this event even more exciting! I didn’t think it could get any better!!! We’ll be providing specially decorated seating for all of these girls.

Best Regards,

Shannon Phillips
