Students in kindergarten through the sixth grade are invited to participate in Bethel Rec’s upcoming softball and baseball season. The cost is $50 per child. Registration closes Saturday, March 16.  To sign up, visit www.bethelrec.org and click on the link to “register online.”  Walk in registration has already closed.

The Bethel Recreation office is located at 21818 38th Avenue East in the new Bethel Learning Center. Practices are tentatively scheduled to start the week of April 8 – 12.  Games run from April 29 – June 8.  For more information, call Bethel Rec at 253.683.5940.

BETHEL RECREATION takes all students in kindergarten – 6th grade (that attend any Bethel School District Elementary school or live in the boundaries of the Bethel School District). We do not have a “cut off” on how many students may sign up for any particular grade/sport, we include all students that are interested as long as they sign up by our registration deadline.  Because of the large amount of participants that we have for each sport, we have to establish teams, find volunteer coaches, set practices with the coaches, meet with our coaches to certify them.  After that process has been completed we give the coaches the team rosters and they begin contacting the participants to notify them of practice days & times.

Please make sure to sign up on time to guarantee a spot for your child on his/her school team.  Practices will NOT be determined until AFTER registration has closed.  Refunds are available if practices DO NOT work out for you.  NO registration will be taken after Saturday, March 10th.

Practices:
All practices are determined by the coach and area coordinator.  Practices will not be scheduled until after registration has closed.  Coaches will be contacted by the area coordinator and practices will be scheduled at the coaches meeting. All practices will be held on weeknights (Monday – Friday) they may range from any time after 3:30 p.m. and will conclude by 8:00 p.m.  Length of practice will be approximately one hour and not to exceed more than two times per week.

*Note: If practices do not work with your schedule, you may request a refund (this must be requested before the first game).
