A letter of resignation from Roy city councilmember William Llewellyn was read at the Monday night meeting. The City of Roy will accept letters of interest for the vacant council position number 1 until April 5, 2013.

Llewellyn was also Mayor Pro Temp, so the council quickly elected Michelle Walker as the new Mayor Pro Temp. The City of Roy is a Code City with a Mayor-Council form of government, regulated by RCW 35A.
