FRANKLIN PIERCE SCHOOL DISTRICT — On Saturday, April 20, the gymnasiums at Franklin Pierce High School will be full of student and adult basketball players. Hoops 4 Hope, as the event is called, will consist of a 3-on-3 basketball tournament. While the basketball part is meant to be a fun way to spend a Saturday, the real focus of the event is to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
Started last year by late teacher and fierce warrior against cancer, Pam Raynor, Hoops 4 Hope is a charity event to supplement the fundraising that occurs every year for the Central Pierce Relay for Life.
