Reminder: The deadline for grant applications to the 2013 Chambers-Clover Creek Watershed Council Environmental Grants Program is Noon, Wednesday, April 3, 2013. Grant submission information is below and attached.

 Grant Overview:

Grant funds are now available for organizations, schools, and individuals to work collaboratively with the Chambers-Clover Creek (CCWC) Watershed Council on drainage, water quality, and habitat issues within our watershed.  Such projects may include watershed education, enhancement and restoration activities, and purchase of equipment and supplies. The maximum grant amount is $2,000 per project, but you are encouraged to apply for less if your project does not require the full amount.

How to Apply? (It’s easy!)

This grant is only available for projects in the CCWC Watershed.  To apply for this grant, complete the brief 2013 Environmental Grant Application (including the maximum 2-page project description as described in the application) and send to: Chris Schutz, Pierce County, 2702 South 42nd St, Ste. 201, Tacoma, WA  98409-7322.

Grant Criteria & Requirements:

Project proposals will be evaluated based on criteria included in the Environmental Grant Criteria document. The number of grants awarded and the level of funding per grant will be determined by the $20,000.00 in available funds for this grant round and the number of applications received.  Should your organization be awarded a grant, your project completion and final report deadline will be 12/4/13. In addition, you are asked to make a brief presentation at the 12/18/2013 CCWC Watershed Council meeting to report on your project, including accomplishments, successes and challenges.  If you have questions, please contact Chris Schutz at (253) 798-7620 or cschutz@co.pierce.wa.us.

This grant is funded by Pierce County Public Works and Utilities, Surface Water Management Division and the City of Lakewood Public Works.
