Explanation of 2013 Precinct Changes

During the 2012 Presidential Election a few Pierce County election precincts experienced large increases in the number of registered voters. Examples of these precincts include one precinct on Joint Base Lewis McChord and another precinct centered around the University of Puget Sound.

Four precincts currently exceed the state limit of 1,500 active registered voters.
