The Washington State Lake Protection Association (WALPA) and the Oregon Lakes Association (OLA) are co-hosting a lake ecology conference October16-18 at the Hilton hotel in Vancouver, Washington. The theme for this meeting is Collaborative Lake Management. This conference provides an exceptional opportunity for local, Native North American, lake volunteers and state organizations to exchange information on current lake issues and technologies related to water monitoring, assessment, research, protection, restoration, and management. The conference program is intended to reach a wide audience: watershed, lake and reservoir managers; planners and developers; lakeshore property owners and lake association representatives; environmental, conservation agency representatives and scientists and engineers involved with lake issues.
WALPA and OLA invite representatives of organizations to attend our October conference to share your experiences, knowledge and goals concerning lake management. The conference provides the opportunity to establish professional networks with others who are concerned with lake related ecological issues.
Thank you,
Karl Bruun (WALPA board member)
