May 3 to 5, the intersection at 22nd Ave. and 176th Street will close

The Pierce County project that is widening 176th Street in Spanaway will close the intersection of 22nd Avenue and 176th Street on May 3 until May 5.  This closure was moved out from April since the project has progressed.

The entire intersection of 176th and 22nd Avenue will be closed as crews completely replace and re-engineer the traffic signal system at that location. The only vehicles allowed through the intersection will be emergency vehicles, since the fire station is immediately adjacent to the site. Detours will be posted at that time.
