Elk Plain Cafe is gone and a new corner to begin soon

on

This past weekend the dozers and demolition crew acted swiftly and the remainder of the shell that was once the Elk Plain Cafe was reduced to scrap. The trees were harvested, stumps removed and the land mostly leveled. All this is to make way for a new O’Reilly’s Auto Parts Store on the corner of 22nd Avenue East and the Mountain Highway in Elk Plan, or if you prefer, old Loveland.
Here are a few photos of the site as it was on Thursday night. The Post will update you later as the new construction begins.

Marianne, Thanks for the pictures of the Elk Plain Cafe – we go by it going to our cabin in Packwood. I’m enjoying the Pierce Prairie Post – thanks for all your efforts! Jackie Stenger (Altrusa of South Pierce County)
