A food drive will be held to benefit the Southeast Tacoma FISH Food Bank. Please bring non-perishable food items to any of our Franklin Pierce schools by Friday, May 3. Join members of the Washington School Nutrition Association who serve, cook, and plan school breakfasts and school lunches for Washington school children every day in a statewide effort to fill food pantries.
With summer approaching, many in our community will no longer have easy access to school meals, making it harder to feed their families. Although some districts may offer summer meal programs, we know that many in our community will find it difficult to replace the meals to which their children normally have access to throughout the school year.
The mission of the Washington School Nutrition Association is to ensure that healthy, well-balanced meals are served to school children by providing education and training for its members. The WSNA Franklin Pierce Chapter 10 staff appreciates your support of this worthwhile project. We look forward to partnering with our students, staff, and community to fill our local FISH Food Bank pantries.
