Sunday, May 26 at 2:30 p.m. the processional for the 2013 graduates of Pacific Lutheran University began at the Tacoma Dome.
The PLU symphony orchestra played the Processional of Joy conducted by Dr. Jeffry Bell-Hanson. David Robbins, Dr. Richard Louie and Dr. Patsy Maloney led the procession as Marshalls.

The invocation was delivered by Rev. Nancy Connor and the National Anthem was sung. The students were greeted by Dr. Steven Starkovich, Provost and Dean of Graduate Students, Dr. Thomas Krise, University President and Bruce Bjerke, Chair of the Board of Regents.The Kaaren Hatlen, a mathematics major gave the student Commencement speech and the formal Commencement Address was delivered by Angela Meade from the class of 2001, a soprano from The Metropolitan Opera of New York.![DSC_0375[1]](https://pierceprairiepost.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/dsc_03751.jpg?w=150&h=99)
President Thomas Kriese gave closing comments and the Prayer and Benediction were offered by Rev. Dennis Sepper.
