JOINT BASE LEWIS-McCHORD, Wash. – 4th Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) will conduct a “Guns-A-Go-Go Reunion” event Friday, July 19, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the unit headquarters.

The event unites current Soldiers from Company A, 4th Bn., 160th SOAR with original veterans of the Guns-A-Go-Go Detachment that was active in Vietnam from 1966-1968.  Both companies flew highly modified variants of Boeings CH-47 helicopter while conducting unique combat missions in Vietnam and Afghanistan.  Key events planned are a static display of the unit’s aircraft, blank fire on a mini-gun, capabilities brief on 4/160th SOAR, and a meet and greet with current members.
