PIERCE COUNTY, WA — Pierce County Executive Pat McCarthy is seeking applicants for one Airport Business position on the Pierce County Airport-Thun Field Advisory Commission (TFAC).
The existing vacancy is one with an unexpired term; the term expiration date is April 12, 2015. The candidate selected for this position will be eligible for reappointment, if desired, beyond the 2015 expiration date.
This commission member position requires the applicant to be a representative of an airport business. Although not specifically defined, any individual representing an organization conducting aviation-related business (profit or non-profit) at Thun Field will be considered eligible. The TFAC includes eight voting members: four airport business representatives and four South Hill community residents. Two airport business positions must be filled by one pilot and one airport tenant; those two specific positions are currently filled. All positions are uncompensated.
