Classic cars were parked all over the grassy field. Children laughed, screamed and played all day on the playground equipment, bouncy houses and pony rides. Booth vendors sold insurance, finance, cards, knitted apparel and associated sundries. The Bloodmobile was parked beside the church building, hoping some generous souls would take the time to lend a pint.
Entertainers included John Denver impersonator, Ted Vigil and an amazing young guitarist and songwriter from Graham Kapowsin High School, Kira
Out in the middle of the field, several booths were set up to cook big pots of chili, some traditional, some alternative. At noon, the tasters came to judge the chili. Then the people got to get samples and vote for their favorite. Judges also browsed the classic cars, looking for the best of the categories.
The Chili Cook Off first place(s) for People’s Choice and Traditional Chili went to the 723 Networking Group. THey also received 3rd place in booth decorating. The first place for non-traditional Chili went to Ricky J’s and the first place for booth decorating went to Team Carlson.
