Real Life Family Center held a School Supply Fair Saturday morning. The Post was tipped of via an early morning text message from Kawshun D. Safety Clown. By 9 a.m. when Kawshun arrived, there was a line around the side of the building into the parking lot.
This turned out o be no ordinary school supply fair. There were free dental checkups, a barbecue and a bouncy house outside the church. Inside there were school supplies like backpacks, paper, notebooks, pencils and more. There were also hot green tennis shoes in a variety of sizes, dozens and dozens of cookies, face painting, free haircuts donated by a half-dozen beauticians and a couple of clown warding around making sure everyone was having a great time.
Steve Morton, the pastor, found me wandering around taking photos of the delighted kids and parents. He spoke about the uplifting kind of environment and community oriented church he is striving to create.
Here are some photo of the day.
