Labor Day weekend has a multitude of options for entertainment, enjoyment and good old-fashioned fun. For many, it’s the last blast before school starts. For kids in the Franklin Pierce District,well, it’s the first weekend after school started. In any case, its three more days to enjoy the last throws of summer, hopefully summer weather as well.

In south Pierce County, the major events of the weekend are the LeMay Car Show at the LeMay home on C Street and Marymount Event Center and the Roy Pioneer Rodeo at the rodeo grounds in Roy. If you want to travel father, it is Olympia’s Harbor Days Festival. For more information, follow their links.

This weekend there is also a benefit car wash for the missing teenager, Chris Virdell. The car wash is in Spanaway at Kelly’s Kafe from 9a.m. to 3p.m.
