PARKLAND, WA — 152nd Street and B Street in front of Marymount were strewn with parking cars as people were trying to attend the big car show event. There were buses brining people from the Spanaway Middle School parking lot and back and forth between the family home on C Street and the site at Marymount.
Inside, there were lots of vendor tents, food booths with barbecue and hot dogs from the Altrusans of South Pierce County. Competition was great among those who brought their own collector cars for the competition. The auction event got underway at 1:00 p.m. Saturday and will also be held on Sunday at 9:00 a.m.
The are many great descriptive words for the beauty and workmanship of these lovingly kept or restored old cars. Many of the collectibles that the LeMays also have throughout their museum inventory bring back a flood memories of times past. A hood ornament or a stuffed chimpanzee can elicit a story from the heart.
