Governor Inslee hereby directs that Washington State and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff, per President Obama’s proclamation, as a mark of respect for the victims of the tragic event at the Washington Navy Yard on Monday, Sept. 16.

Flags should be lowered immediately and remain at half-staff until sunset/close of business Friday, Sept. 20. Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
