SPANAWAY, WA — ABC Day at Bethel’s Spanaway Lake High School is an indoor sport, so the deluge of rain coming down today really doesn’t matter, there’s something marvelous to do in spite of it.
Over at Sprinker Recreation Center, the baseball fields are too wet to drive the cars on, so the classic cars are lining up in the parking lot. Just bring your umbrella; classic car people are dedicated, there’s a show and they are lining up. At 8 a.m., everyone was getting their displays ready and literally, getting their feet wet for the big day.
These photos were taken at 8 a.m. during set up. Both these events run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Carol Wright from the Graham-Kapowsin Community Council can tell you about a bunch of community services and adult continuing education available in the area.

Classic cars are arriving by the scores, just staying in the parking lot where there’s pervious pavement to walk on. See how the parking stalls are dry?
