SPANAWAY, WA — Saturday, September 28 is a big day in the Spanaway area. It is both a major car show at Sprinker Recreation Center that is likely to have over 1500 entries, but it is also the Bethel community expo known as ABC Day.

Due to limited parking at Spanaway Lake High School where ABC Day is being held, there will be a shuttle travelling between Sprinker Recreation Center and Spanaway Lake High to get people from their cars to the events and lessen the parking issues.

At ABC Day, the 723 Networking Group will be a special feature.

This is a group of local business people from the Spanaway, Elk Plain, Frederickson and Graham areas that meets on Thursday mornings at JR’s Whistle Stop. The meetings start around 7:23 am, hence the name.

At their expansive booth space, they will be raffling off a 60 inch smart HDTV for a lucky visitor. The money donated toward this will support Spanaway Lake’s “Link Crew” which pairs a Senior with an incoming Freshman to aid in their success entering high school.

There will also be a coloring  contest for the young people with terrific prizes like gift certificates, toys and more.

Business cards and information on the products and services the members of the group represent will be provided. Please note who they are and support those who support you in the community.

723 Networking has three major community goals

1) They are supporting the Bethel Aquatic Center in Elk Plain

2) They are supporting Cross Park in Frederickson

3) They supporting the construction of the Cross Base Highway (SR704) in Spanaway

This past Thursday, the group could be seen planning the booth and putting together bundles of crayons for the contest.  Often they have scheduled speakers such as the County Auditor, representatives from the Washington Department of Transportation and the County Economic Development Board as well as school officials and experts in motivation and business practices.
