PIERCE COUNTY — Completing Pierce County’s primary transportation grid is a top priority for continued economic development. As you may know, the legislature is holding a special session in November to address the State’s transportation needs. State-wide “listening sessions” are being held and it is important Pierce County businesses are part of the discussion.
The completion of Hwy 167, Hwy 509 and the Cross Base Hwy (Hwy 704) will help provide the County with the transportation infrastructure needed to move goods and services to markets effectively and efficiently. If your company will benefit by completing these roads and if at all possible, please attend the meeting below and have your voice heard. Let Mike Welch know you’ll be attending by emailing him (address below).
State Senate Transportation Listening Session
October 9th, 2013
6:00pm – 9:00pm
Evergreen Tacoma Campus, Lyceum Hall, 1210 6th Ave., Tacoma, WA 98405
Come and bring as many people as you can to urge the Senate Leadership to get the Transportation Revenue Funding Package approved in a November Special Session. This is too critical for our region for us not to be present in mass.
Please feel free to email mikewelch@thompsoncg.com if you plan to attend or have questions
