Joust, a SLHS tradition

Wednesday night was Joust at Spanaway Lake High School. This traditional skit night is meant to stir up pep and support for the upcoming homecoming football game on Friday night, 7 p.m., at Art Crate Stadium.DSC_7652sm

The theme for the event focused on Wonderland. So Alice and the Mad Hatter made it into a few skits. The audience was treated to, and very amused by,  the dance routines that were incorporated into the performances.

There apparently is a great deal of talent among the youth at the school when it comes to moving and grooving. The feet were shuffling, the arms and shoulders were undulating and a few times, there were aerial flips to go along with it. The audience photo in this story was to catch the smiles of amusement in a sophomore skit when one of the young men was doing some comical dance moves.

Of course, the premier dance moves of the night were when the SLHS Music Company came out to entertain the audience. The Music Company is the best known entertainment in the district.

Have a great homecoming Spanaway Lake. If you team plays as well as you all dance, Federal Way is doomed Friday.
