The Tacoma Concert Band is proud to present a rare opportunity to see and hear Pat Sheridan, America’s finest tuba virtuoso, in a program that will truly be an “ENTERTAINMENT SPECTACULAR”!
Piano, violin, and trumpet soloists are plentiful, but tuba soloists are few and far between, and Pat Sheridan is the best of them. He not only plays his instrument brilliantly, but he entertains his audience with humor and musical hi-jinx. (His dazzling Flight of the Tuba Bee, for example, is not to be missed.)
In addition, the band will play a full program of popular and classical works, including selections from George Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, music from Jean Sibelius’ Karelia Suite, and The Year of the Dragon, a fascinating piece by Philip Sparke, the British composer whose newest work will be given its world premiere by the TCB next March.
Ticket prices start at just $16, with substantial discounts for seniors, students, and military personnel. Group ticket rates are also available.
This is a Sunday matinée performance, perfect for the entire family to enjoy, at Tacoma’s historic Pantages Theater.
