County passes several fee increases

This is a list of new fees Passed November 12, 2013 by the Pierce County Council. The hearing was on Friday, Nov. 8.

• 2013-68, Amending Section 13.13.085 of the Pierce   County Code, “Rates and Charges” by Establishing the Year 2014 and Year 2015   Rates and Charges for the Availability and Furnishing of Sanitary Sewer   Service; and Setting an Effective Date.

• 2013-69, Amending Chapter 4.24 of the Pierce   County Code, “County Excise Tax on Real Estate Sales”; and Setting   an Effective Date.

• 2013-70, Amending Chapter 2.05 of the Pierce   County Code, “Planning and Land Services and Assessor-Treasurer Development   Review, Inspection and Application/Processing Fees”  by adjusting the   Fee Schedule for the Planning and Land Service Department; and Setting an   Effective Date.

• 2013-71, Amending Chapter 14.20 of the Pierce   County Code, “Parks and Recreation Service Fees,” by Amending Fee Schedules   and Adding New Fees for Parks and Recreation Activities and Facilities; and   Establishing an Effective Date.

• 2013-74, Amending Section 11.02.050 of the Pierce   County Code, “Method of Calculating Service Charges,” by Increasing   the Surface Water Management Service Charges; and Setting an Effective Date.

• 2013-75, Amending Chapter 2.112 of the Pierce   County Code, “Pierce County Airports – Lease Rates and Rental   Fees,” and Setting an Effective Date.

• 2013-76, Repealing Chapter 10.38 of the Pierce   County Code; Adopting a New Chapter 10.38 of the Pierce County Code, “Ferry   Fares”; and Setting an Effective Date.

• 2013-78, Addressing School, Traffic and Regional   Park Impact Fees; Amending Pierce County Code Sections 4A.10.080,   “Impact Fee Assessment and Collection” to Reauthorize A Deferral   Program for Certain Impact Fees, 4A.20.030, “Impact Fee Schedule,”   to Adjust Regional Park Impact Fees for 2014, and 4A.30.030, “School   Impact Fee Schedule,” to Adjust School Impact Fees for 2014; and Setting   an Effective Date.
