SPANAWAY, WA — Something drew me to the Hideaway Sports Pub and Eatery this afternoon. Partly, it was my love of history. The original building was built before all of the Mountain Highway was completed. Of course, it was also the Seahawks game. Inside, no matter which way you turn, you can see a big screen TV with the game.
One year ago this Friday, November 15, the Hideaway opened. So this weekend was a big anniversary celebration. Almost everyone in the place during the Seahawks games is wearing their jersey, including the staff and owners. Almost as soon as the game ends, people are calling to reserve their seat for the next week’s game. The twelfth man has a large contingent here. The crowd is deafening when the Hawks score.
At the end of today’s game against the Vikings, the establishing held a drawing for several nice Seahawks logo items adding to the festive atmosphere. Of course winning 41-20 helped make things festive as well.
Congratulations on completing your first year to everyone at The Hideaway Sports Pub and Eatery!
Message from the owners:
“Tucker, Mike, Shelly, and all the employees here at The Hideaway cannot thank our customers enough for the support and business over the last year. Our one year anniversary was this last Friday, November 15th and it feels like we just opened yesterday. We have daily and nightly regulars that we appreciate so much but we want to extend a huge thank you to our Sunday Seahawks crowd that never fails to bring such an exciting and wild environment down here at The Hideaway! We look forward to the rest of the year and many more to come!”
