Walking through a Fantasy

SPANAWAY, WA — They came from everywhere and the roads were completely jammed near Sprinker Recreation Center this evening just before 5 p.m. It was the one day only, Fantasy Lights Walk-through and there was no place to park. The Sprinker lot was full, the Goodwill parking lot was full and the cars quickly filled up the road shoulders … and they were still arriving. Pacific Avenue’s northbound left turn lane at Military road was backup up past the Safeway 10 blocks away, but they all knew it was worth the wait.DSC_2055

The lights were on before 4 p.m. at Spanaway Park. There were candy canes, gingerbread men, snowflakes, presents and so many, many more. The main event, driving through Fantasy Lights begins on Thanksgiving at 5:30 p.m.. It costs $15 per car-full to see the show. The last day of the event is New Years.
