School boards swear in newly elected

Bethel and Franklin Pierce School Districts gave the oath of office to their board members elected in the November 5 general election at the December 10 meeting.

Int he Bethel District Warren Smith, Stan Chapin and Amy Pivetta Hoffman took the oath. After signing the formal documents, the board elected Brenda Rogers as board President and Stan Chapin as board Vice President.DSC_2643

In the Franklin Pierce District, John Harstad and Cole Roberts were sworn in for new terms on the board December 10.

At the Bethel District board meeting, there was a presentation and analysis on graduation rates, adoption of the District School Learning Improvement Plan, recognition of 4 Schools of  Distinction (Centennial, Evergreen, Nelson and Liberty) and recognition of a Graham Mormon Church group that has donated over 4000 hours to help beautify the local schools.
