There is a meeting of (Spanaway) lake owners this Thursday, January 9 at noon and again at 6:30 pm at the new Round Table Pizza past Walmart at 20709 Mountain Highway! My husband Chuck, a retired land surveyor, is trying to help us all be able to fight the county in its quest to take our lakefront rights from 50 foot setbacks to a proposed 75 foot buffer that the county wants to have hearings on and decisions made in March of this year.
We need to come together as a group so our voices will be heard ASAP. Come to the meeting, support your local business, enjoy some pizza, and learn about these proposed new regulations that will take your dock rights, landscaping, patios, bulkheads, perhaps your house if you are within the 75 foot mark. This has happened already in Elbe and Ashford, so don’t sit idly by thinking this won’t happen here, because they are part of Pierce County!
Please pass this information along to your neighbors URGENTLY. We’ve contacted our local council person, McCune.
