There’s a lot of snow out there, drive safely or not at all

SPANAWAY, WA — Snow has been falling all around Pierce County this evening, February 8. Accumulations are expected to continue into Sunday.

Here are a few photos I snapped this evening of the snowload on Pacific Avenue, it hasn’t been plowed yet at 11 p.m.DSC_4457

if you are out on the road, please remember to increase you following distance, especially before stop lights and intersections. In my other life, I work on auto claims. Countless little accidents occur when that “other” car makes a move you cannot adjust for. Also, take the routes with less grade rather than steeper hills.

Otherwise, enjoy the snow break and I hope most of  you get to take Sunday off while it lasts. If you make a snow fort or snowman that is magnificent, send it to PiercePrairiePost@hotmail.com.
