It was Friday evening and just a day past my birthday, what better way to
spend than over at the Marymount Event Center where booths with delicious wines, chocolates, cheeses and gifts were set up for perusing and sampling. It was a room where the passion and decadence of chocolate candies were mixing with the sweet bouquets of specialty wines. All this with the ambience of amazing classic cars and relics of the days of American graffiti.
The event is a smaller version of the incredible wine event at Saint Martin’s University. The Vitners and chocolatiers are local merchants with incredible products you don’t find at the Local Safeway or Fred Meyer. Wine vendors included Madsen Family Cellars of Olympia, Foxy Roxy Wines, Waving Tree Vinyards & Winery, Stottle Winery, Heritage Distilling, and the very local Rainier View Winery from Graham. There were also cupcakes from Julie’s Bakery who specializes in all Gluten free products. Neighborlady Cheese had delicious samples of bovine delicacies and Jamberry was there with specialty nail products for the ladies.
There is one more day that you can experience this wonderful event to taste some delicious local products and stock up your wine cellar or wine rack at home. It runs Saturday, April 26 from 4 to 9 p.m. Your taste bus will thank you for the opportunity.
