Bus Stop Paddle Cameras- Update

The Bethel School District has reached agreement with the Pierce County District Court and the Pierce County Sheriffs Office to conduct a pilot program to capture school bus stop paddle violations. The district will be installing camera systems on ten buses by September, so that a thorough test of the system can occur. The pilot will last through mid-October. No tickets will be issued during the pilot program. The quality of the data from the pilot will be assessed, before any citations are issued.
