ROY, WA — It’s inside the City Hall this year, for more than one reason. It’s more secure that way, for one thing. The other issue is the purchase of the lot next door, where the tree has usually stood.  An agreement has not been reached and it is at an impasse at this time. The good part is the tree lends a bit of festivity, it looks good in City Hall.

Kids, parents, and representatives of the 555th Brigade and the Roy Police Dept all gathered at the library for visits with Santa and cookies. Then they all got little lights in hand and strolled over to City Hall to with Santa and the Mayor to turn on the lights and sing, Oh Christmas Tree!
