Come out and learn how to properly clean the headstones in our beautiful Roy cemetery!

We will supply you with everything you need except water. Please bring a 5 gallon bucket with water in it. You can purchase one at your local hardware store or check with your local grocery store bakery to see if they have any available.

You will learn the correct techniques from Washington State Historical Marker Preservationist Mick Hersey.

Once the Cleaning Clinic has been completed, we will be learning how to raise monuments. The monument we will be demonstrating with is a 5′ monument that has sunk about 3′ since 1916!
Please RSVP for this event so we have enough supplies on hand for everyone!

This will be a long day.

You can sign up for one or both classes. Please feel free to bring lunch and/or snacks. Food options in Roy are limited to Varsity Pizza, the Roy Tavern and a Chevron Station. There is a coffee stand as you come into town from the JBLM side. Yelm has more food options and is approximately a 15 minute drive one way, depending on traffic. I believe the Chevron station has restrooms, but I will check it out.

And please bring something to keep you hydrated!!!
