The JBLM Air Show at McChord Field is back!

If you live anywhere around Spanaway, you know when the JBLM Airshow at McChord Field is happening. The planes start arriving July 12, and trust me, the Thunderbirds would do nothing less than arrive with a roar! Their arrival is around 1-2 pm.

The dates: July 15-16.
Time: All day, Gates open at 9:00 a.m., flying begins at 11:30 a.m.
Location: McChord Field
Open to the public.

Prepare to stay hydrated, airports get hot and it will be in the 80’s. (There will be bottled water sold, but it may be expensive.) Vendors and static displays will also be part of the exposition.

NOISE ALERT

U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds arrival July 12, 1 – 2 p.m.

• The first U.S. Air Force Thunderbird F-16C Fighting Falcon jets will arrive at JBLM

McChord Field. Prior to landing the plane will conduct a survey and orientation flight;

expect loud jet noise within a five-mile radius of McChord Field.
