Family Promise of Pierce County would like to invite you to the dedication of its Day Center and Emergency Center. May 8, 2024, 2 p.m. at 216b165th St. S, Spanaway, WA 98387. Please RSVP to Denee Kubena, DeneeKubena@familypromisepiercecounty.org.
Family Promise of Pierce County began with the presentation of an idea by Pastor Samara Jenkins of Spanaway United Methodist Church and Superintendent Tom Seigel of the Bethel School District in January of 2023. That Spring, a founding board was formed and by late summer, applications for the entity Family Promise Affiliate were submitted to the state and federal records and some grants were secured. In November, FPPC hired their first CEO and a staff of case workers. Bethel dedicated a portable for and office and Day Center and SUMC leased their former parsonage to remodel as an overnight shelter. Now the remodeling is being completed and FPPC is celebrating.
Family Promise, transforming the lives of families experiencing homelessness. Because every child deserves a home.
