The (new) Commercial Aviation Work Group will begin meeting July 11

PIERCE COUNTY COUNCIL — The Commercial Aviation Work Group—created by the Legislature last year—will host its first public meeting beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday, July 11, at the Capital Event Center in Tumwater.

The Commercial Aviation Work Group, established by the Legislature last year, will evaluate the long-range commercial aviation and transportation needs of Washington State. This includes exploring alternatives for additional aviation capacity and expanding the use of existing airports and multimodal opportunities.

Meeting Details: First meeting of the Commercial Aviation Work Group 
When: Thursday, July 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
Where: Capital Events Center, 6005 Tyee Dr SW, Tumwater WA 98512

Participants may also attend the meeting online. The meeting link will be available on the Commercial Aviation Work Group website prior to the meeting. There will also be a live stream from TVW.

Public Participation
Members of the public who wish to provide public comment should note the following:

  • Comments are accepted anytime through the contact form. Only comments submitted through the contact form will be considered.
  • Comments will be accepted in person and online during the meeting. There will be 20 minutes on the agenda for public comment. Each commenter will be allowed no more than two minutes to provide input.
