Fair time! Aug. 30 – Sept. 22

The Washington State Fair, the one we locals call the Puyallup Fair is on! Starting today, August 31, 2024 all the cotton candy, rides, exhibits, onion burgers, taffy, and scones are ready for you. The stages are filled with local performers and some big names. The homemakers, quilters, photographers, artists and hobbyists are on display.

The dates of “The Fair” August 30 – September 22, 2024. It is open Labor Day Weekend, but closed Tuesdays & Sept. 4 (Wednesday).

The Fair has free admission days:

Friday, Aug. 30 – KOMO’s Opening Day Food Drive – FREE gate admission for all ages 10:30am – 12:30pm, with a suggested non-perishable food donation. Full Details

Friday, Aug. 30 – Monday, Sept. 2 – BECU Free Kids Weekend – FREE admission for kids, ages 18 and under, courtesy of BECU. Full Details

Every Monday – Military Appreciation Day – FREE admission for all active, reserve, and retired military and National Guard and their dependents, plus disabled veterans, when each shows valid military ID at any Fair gate. Full Details

Friday, Sept. 6 – School Supply Drive – FREE gate admission for all ages 10:30am – 12:30pm, with a suggested new school supply donation. Full Details

Regular admission varies whether you purchase tickets online (which are less expensive) or at the gate. If you buy a concert ticket, it comes with your admission, but not the parking charge.
