Clover Creek, groundwater, urbanization, beaver dams, watershed issues discussion Nov 20

Clover Creek is dry most of the year. Water companies are extending water lines across the county to other water company areas to provide water for new construction. Surface water runoff from Military Road is pouring straight into Spanaway Creek. Beavers are trying to build a dam between Spanaway Lake and the little Spanaway Lake to the North. Trees are being offered to residents to help blighted urban areas. There is a lot going on in the Chambers Clover Watershed from Frederickson to University Place and Dupont.

Wednesday, November 20 at Sprinker Recreation center these items will be topics for discussion and more. At 1:15 p.m. sharp, a group will take a walk to Spanaway Creek to see the runoff pipe that needs to be corrected and possibly see the beaver dam being built of the North Lake. At 2:30 p.m. the main forum will begin. Registration for the event is available here.
