Pierce County Surface Water Management sponsors a group called the Chambers Clover Watershed Council. CWCC meets monthly with key organizations and agencies that have anything to do with the local water supply. From the Health Department to Surface Water Management, Department of Ecology, Clover Creek Restoration Alliance, the Pierce Conservation District, and more. Discussions are about creek flow, ground water aquifers, surface water runoff, pollution, toxics, trash, lake water quality, closures, contaminants, zoning, trees, fish, birds, bugs and wildlife.
On January 15, the CWCC will hold its general meeting online in Zoom. Members of the public interested in the watershed related issues are welcome to attend.
The Council hosts monthly meetings that are open to the public. Community members, students, nonprofits, residents, businesses, and agency representatives – everyone is invited to attend and participate in the Council meetings. We need volunteers to become officers in the watershed council as well.
